As of FY24, the bank’s advances amounts to Rs. 5.85 lakh Cr and its total business (Advances + Deposits) is Rs. 13.24 lakh Cr, making it the sixth-largest nationalized bank in India. International Business
The institution internationalized its portfolio by establishing 21 foreign branches in addition to a representative office, 4 overseas subsidiaries, one joint venture (JV) and an IFSC banking unit. Its foreign operations are scattered over five continents and fifteen countries namely: the United States of America; Cayman Islands; United Kingdom (UK); France; Belgium; Tanzania; Kenya among others. By FY24, this will approximate around 15 percent of the overall mix for the bank’s total business.

New Products
In that fiscal year 2024, the new products “BOI Star Family Savings Account” and “BOI Star Rooftop Solar Panel Finance” were introduced by the bank; individuals could borrow up to Rs.10 lakhs, while registered housing societies could be lent up to Rs.1 Cr.

For FY24, it upgraded its digital infrastructure by launching a new data center as well as enhancing intrabank networks. The bank is projecting an increase of approximately 13% in its domestic credit and about 12% in case of domestic deposits for FY25, with emphasis on the CASA and retail term deposits. The plan it has includes increasing high yielding advances such as RAM (Retail, Agriculture, and MSME) as well as Mid-Corporate Advances, collecting low-cost funds, and sustaining a NIM of 3% by FY25.
