Latest Update – ITC announced that its standalone net profit rose marginally by 0.3 per cent on year-on-year (Y-o-Y) basis to Rs 4,917.45 crore for the June quarter against Rs 4,902.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of last year. The standalone revenue from operations during this period stood at Rs 18,077.24 crore compared to Rs 16,842.93 crore in the same period last year showing an increase of 7.32 per cent. However analysts were expecting ITC is most likely to post a rise of 2-6 percent in profits (Y-o-Y) on sales growth of about 6-7 percent.

FMCG – Cigarettes
The organised internal market of cigarettes belongs to ITC where its dominance over the market is at 80% . It is a company that sells a variety of cigarette brands which include Insignia, India Kings, Classic, Gold Flake, American Club, Will’s Navy Cut, Players, Scissors, Capstan, Berkeley, Bristol, Flake, Silk Cut, and Duke & Royal.

Agri. Business
From the country, India tobacco company is the second largest exporter of agri products. It deals in feed ingredients, food grains, marine products, processed fruits, coffee etc.Under this vertical it exports leaf tobacco too. India tobacco company is India’s largest and world’s 5th largest leaf tobacco exporter.
During the first half of FY24, ITC IndiVision Limited (IIVL) wholly-owned subsidiary received all necessary approvals from regulators to produce products with nicotine or nicotine derivatives that meet US and EU pharmacopoeia standards.
Paperboards, Paper & Packaging
ITC stands out in the value-added paperboards sector, commanding the largest market share in India. The company is recognized for its premium packaging products made from paperboards, with a commitment to sustainability running through its entire range of products right down from biodegradable materials up to food-safe virgin boards made from newly-established woodlands.
Hotel Business
On August 23, the company consented to merge its hotel business with ITC Hotels Limited, which will be a new entity. ITC will retain a 40% stake in the new entity while the remaining 60% will belong to ITC’s current shareholders in proportion to their ownership.
ITC Hotels is a swiftly evolving chain of lodging service companies. It happens to be rated as the second largest line of hostel management service providers in India with 108 hotels located in over 70 places across the country serving a diversity of client segments. The number of rooms owned by it is approximately 290,000.
