Reliance Power Business Profile
The company can generate about 5,945 MW, 5,760 MW for thermal power and another 185 MW for renewable energy. During the financial year 2023, the company was not able to pay back approximately 270 crore Indian Rupees in loans plus another 250 crore rupees worth of interest.

Samalkot Power Project
The Company had an MOU with the Government of Bangladesh to construct a phased gas project for 3000 MW. In this connection, steps have been taken by Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited (subsidiary) to sign up long-term PPA for 718 MW (net) power supply from a combined cycle gas based power plant near Dhaka, Bangladesh (Phase-1).
On 2nd September 2019, the contracts of the project were signed. Additionally they have entered into an agreement with JERA Power International (Netherlands) – which is a subsidiary of JERA Co. Inc., Japan for a 49% stake in RBLPL.
